Ticino

The region of Ticino offer an Italian feel to Switzerland the region is located in the south of Switzerland and is almost entirely surrounded by Italy which lies to its east, south and west.

Ticino has a good selection of cities Ascona, Bellinzona, Lugano and Locarno each of these has it’s own appeal, this is the ideal location for strolling around the large selection of shops visiting one of the numerous restaurants or just soaking up the ambience of the region in one of the many cafés basking in the sunshine.

Here you are spoilt for activities with magnificent walking throughout the year especially during the summer months with Alpine pastures, wooded hills rising to some challenging peaks, or through Alpine pastures along the banks of the Lakes Maggiore and Lugano, or visit one of the many parks and gardens.

In the winter your views change to snow-capped mountain peaks with downhill ski runs that run down towards Lakes Maggiore and Lugano, or walk in mountain valleys that are covered in deep snow.
