Switzerland has so much on offer to families that are after an adventure holiday with more variety and fun.

You are spoilt for choice, you can experience Switzerland's country side and mountain regions, if you like to keep busy you can walk many of the routes that are available try rafting, climbing, paragliding, or alternatively travel in cable cars up to the Jungfraujoch or one of the numerous mountains that are available, if this appeals to you, then Interlaken, Montreux or Zermatt are the places to visit.

If you are after a more quiet holiday away from the main tourist spots then the Engadin, the Puschlav, or the Heidiland region are the places to visit.

Or for a more cosmopolitan city holiday, Geneva, Zürich or Bern are the most popular, here you can visit one of the many museums buy designer clothes, watches, chocolate or just take in the views whilst sitting in one of the many cafes watching the world go buy.

The best way to see Switzerland is to travel by train.
